Proctology procedures
Corrective colorectal surgeries are performed by the proctologist to repair the colon, rectum or anus. Surgeries involve the removal of parts of organs, or the removal of whole organs, such as the gallbladder.
There are many technique used to perform colorectal surgery. Colectomy is one of those technique, which is the surgical resectioning of the colon or large intestine. This procedure helps the proctologist for removal of entire large intestine and the rectum. For removing of scars tissues which are grown on patients intestinal wall another technique is used which is known as Strictureplasty. There are many surgical techniques available like lateral internal sphincterotomy, transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM), bowel diversion surgery, rubber band ligation, abdominoperineal resection, haemorrhoidectomy, anoplasty, polypectomy, and colostomy.
